Kathal Ke Kebab

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp garlic
  • 3 tbsp ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 onion
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 500 gm boiled jackfruit
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • 1/4 cup gram flour
  • 3/4 cup hung yogurt
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp mixed nuts
  • Oil for greasing

Garnish

  • Mint chutney
  • Pomegranate
  • Coriander leaves

Preparations

  • In a pan add oil, garlic, ginger, green chillies, onion and mix. Add red chilli powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, boiled jackfruit, salt, water and sauté it for 2 minutes .
  • Add the mixture in the Usha Food Processor and grind it.
  • Add gram flour in the mixture and mix well.
  • In a bowl add hung yogurt, mint leaves, mixed nuts, salt and mix.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and stuff it with the yogurt filling and seal tightly to make round kebabs.
  • Brush the kebabs with oil and grill using the Usha OTG at 180˚ for 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with pomegranate and coriander leaves and serve with mint chutney
Cooking tip

Melt in your mouth vegan kebabs, made of Jackfruit that can be served as appetizers in gatherings and tastes phenomenal!
