Palak Paneer

Smooth, creamy, delicious Indian Cottage Cheese curry, adored throughout the country. 

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 3-4 black peppercorns
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Water as required
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup spinach puree
  • 150 gm paneer
  • Salt to taste
  • 8-10 tbsp milk
  • Ginger
  • Red chilli

Preparations

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cardamom, black pepper, green chillies, onion and sauté till light brown. Add ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, water and give the masalas a quick stir. Pour in the tomato puree and let it cook through.
  • Now add the spinach puree, paneer cubes, milk and season with salt and mix well.
  • Serve hot and garnish with some ginger juliennes and red chillies.
