Kheer

An Indian Rice pudding recipe for all occasions - festive, auspicious and everyday dessert, to make your day more wholesome. 

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 6-8 Cashew Nuts
  • 6-8 Almonds
  • 6-8 Pistachios
  • 5 tbsp Basmati Rice soaked in Milk
  • 2 cups Milk
  • One pinch Saffron
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1/4 cup Khoya
  • 1 tbsp dried Rose Petals
  • 1/2 cup Mawana Super Fine Sugar

  • Heat ghee in a pan. Sauté cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios and keep them aside. In the same pan add basmati rice soaked in milk. Cook for a couple of minutes. Add more milk, saffron strands, cardamom powder, khoya and mix well. Reduce the milk.
  • Add dried rose petals, Mawana Super Fine Sugar and mix. Now add the sautéed dry fruits and mix well.
  • Garnish with some sautéed dry fruits and dried rose petals.
